Use the greenslips.com.au Calculator to compare greenslip prices

It takes only a few minutes to use the greenslips.com.au Calculator and receive quotes from all 6 insurers at once. It’s faster than contacting 6 insurers and having to answer the same questions 6 times.

Each insurer will ask these kinds of questions:

About you

  • Where do you (the vehicle owner) live?
  • How old are you?
  • What is the age and gender of the youngest driver?
  • What is the driving experience of the youngest driver?

Your vehicle

  • Is it currently registered in NSW?
  • What is the vehicle type and shape?
  • How old is it?
  • How far do you travel each year?
  • Is it for private or business use?
  • Do you have other motor insurance on the vehicle?

Driving and claims history

  • How many demerit points are on your or youngest driver’s licence?
  • Have you had any road accidents that were your fault, in the last 3-5 years?
  • Have you had any licence suspensions or restrictions in the last 3 years and if so, drug and alcohol convictions in that time?

It is important to answer these questions accurately or the insurer’s final prices will be wrong. For example, Vehicle Type is a crucial factor. If you don’t know whether your vehicle is a motor car or a light goods vehicle, check the shape code on your registration paper.

As long as each answer is correct, you will receive accurate final prices from each insurer to help you compare. These are the cheapest prices available for your vehicle and details.

Next contact your choice of greenslip insurer and make a payment, knowing you have made an informed choice.
