Free greenslip and registration check
Service NSW provides vehicle owners with a free greenslip and registration check. The service works only for vehicles that are currently registered in NSW.
You can use the registration check to find out the:
- Greenslip insurer
- Greenslip expiry date
- Registration expiry date
- Registration status (current, suspended or cancelled)
- Registration restrictions (renewal or transfer)
- Registration concessions
- Odometer reading.
This service is useful if you need to know the greenslip insurer for a vehicle involved in a road accident or are considering buying a used vehicle and need the odometer reading. This service will not provide the name or address of the registered owner.
You need to know the vehicle’s number plate.
