What car registration benefits am I entitled to as a pensioner?
Your car registration benefits depend on whether you are an eligible pensioner or an eligible DVA pensioner:
- Eligible pensioners are entitled to free registration and automatic renewal, free motor vehicle tax, and free conditional registration.
- Eligible DVA pensioners only, for example with a DVA Gold Card, are also entitled to a stamp duty exemption and free transfer of vehicle registration.
Pension concessions apply to one vehicle per eligible pensioner.
Service NSW checks your eligibility online.
